If you’ve been holding everything together for everyone else and quietly running on empty, you are not failing, and you are not alone. The pressures women carry are real, and so is your right to support that takes them seriously and meets them where they are.
No pressure, no commitment. Just a calmer first step.

Does this sound familiar?
Women move through seasons and pressures that shape their wellbeing in ways that often go unspoken. You might recognize yourself in a few of these, or in something that isn’t here at all.
The mental load that never clocks out
You're the one holding all the invisible threads, the appointments, the planning, the emotional temperature of everyone around you. The weight of always being the one who remembers and manages is exhausting, and largely unseen.
New motherhood that doesn't match the picture
Pregnancy, birth, and the months after can bring anxiety, low mood, intrusive thoughts, or a sense of loss that no one warned you about. The gap between how you thought you'd feel and how you actually feel can be isolating.
Hormonal shifts that affect everything
Your cycle, perimenopause, menopause, and other transitions can shape your mood, your sleep, your sense of self, in ways that feel dismissed or misunderstood. You're looking for support that takes the connection seriously.
Losing yourself in your roles
Partner, mother, daughter, professional, caregiver. Somewhere in all of them, the sense of who you are got buried. You'd like to find your way back to yourself, not just keep functioning for everyone else.
The pressure to be everything, perfectly
You hold yourself to impossible standards and feel like you're failing on every front, no matter how much you do. The expectations placed on women, and the ones you place on yourself, never seem to let up.
Carrying something you've never put words to
Reproductive loss, a difficult experience, or a weight you've never fully spoken about. You've kept going, but it's still there, and you'd like a safe place to finally set it down.
You don't need every one of these to deserve support.
Our approach
Women are so often the ones holding everything together, the caregivers, the planners, the emotional centre of their families and workplaces, that their own wellbeing slips to the bottom of the list. Add to that the unique pressures women navigate, the mental load, the life-stage transitions, the expectations to do it all and make it look easy, and it’s no wonder so many women arrive feeling depleted and unheard.
Here, your well-being is the priority, not an afterthought. We make space for whatever you’re carrying, whether that’s the weight of new motherhood, a hormonal transition affecting your whole sense of self, the slow erosion of identity inside your roles, or something you’ve never said out loud. We listen carefully, take your experience seriously, and support you as a whole person. You spend so much of your life caring for others. This is a place to be cared for, too.

Life during therapy
For many women, the first relief is simply being heard, fully and without having to minimize what they’re carrying. So much of the weight women hold goes unseen and unspoken. Having a space where your experience is taken seriously, where you don’t have to hold it together, can ease something that’s been building for a long time.
Within the first several sessions, women often start to untangle what’s actually theirs to carry from what they’ve simply absorbed, and to question the impossible standards they’ve been holding themselves to. There’s relief in understanding that what you’re feeling makes sense given everything you’re navigating.
The bigger changes build over time. You begin to put your own well-being back on the list. You find your way back toward the person underneath all the roles. And you move through your seasons, whatever they are, with more support, more self-compassion, and less of the depletion you’d come to think of as normal.
Life after therapy
You stop running on empty
You learn to put your own well-being back on the list, not last. The constant depletion eases as you set boundaries, ask for support, and stop carrying everything alone.
You feel like yourself again
The version of you that got buried under all the roles starts to resurface. You reconnect with what you want, what you feel, and who you are beyond what everyone needs from you.
You navigate your seasons with support
Whatever stage you’re in, you move through it with care, taking it seriously. The transitions, the pressures, the unspoken weights become things you face with support rather than alone.
You spend so much time caring for everyone else. Let this be where you're cared for.

Good to know
It's mental health and wellness support that takes the specific pressures and seasons of women's lives seriously, from the mental load and identity shifts to new motherhood, hormonal transitions, reproductive experiences, and everything in between. Whatever you're navigating, this is a space where it's understood and taken seriously.
Many women function very well on the outside while quietly running on empty. The cost is internal: the depletion, the lost sense of self, the weight no one sees. You don't need to be in crisis to deserve support. If you've been putting yourself last for a long time, that alone is worth addressing.
Yes. Hormonal shifts, whether around your cycle, perimenopause, menopause, or other transitions, can affect mood, sleep, and your whole sense of self, and these effects are real and worth support. While therapy isn't medical treatment, it can help you navigate the emotional and psychological side, and we'll always encourage you to involve your physician where relevant.
It's never too late. Many women carry experiences, including reproductive loss or difficult past events, for years without ever fully speaking them. Whenever you're ready to set something down, that's the right time, and this is a safe place to do it.
Yes. We offer online sessions across Alberta and British Columbia, which many women find essential for fitting support around busy, full lives. In-person sessions are also available at our Calgary office.
Our sessions are covered by most extended health plans, and we offer direct billing to a number of insurers. Coverage depends on your specific plan, so it's worth checking what your provider includes for your therapist's designation.
It's a free, no-pressure conversation where we learn a little about what you're going through and help you find the right therapist for it. There's no commitment and nothing to prepare. Just a chance to ask questions and see if it feels like a fit.
In a crisis, please call 911, or call or text 9-8-8 (Suicide Crisis Helpline), available 24/7. Inspire Wellness Therapy does not provide emergency services.
